The National Football League requested the company of the Cass County Honor Guard for the pre-season home-openers of both the St. Louis Rams and the Kansas City Chiefs. Cadets traveled several hours across the state to the Rams stadium in downtown St. Louis to present the colors for the August 14, 2010, game against the Minnesota Vikings. Even with over 40,000 viewers in attendance, the Vikings pulled out a win of 28 to 7. Cadets participating in the honor guard were: C/A1C Jack Conklin, C/A1C Carlos Miller, C/SSgt Jacob King, C/SSgt Daniel Peters, and C/MSgt Trenton Eckerle. Seniors attending the event were the Missouri Wing Commander Colonel John Mais and Major Tony Belto.

The Honor Guard presented the colors for the Kansas City Chiefs third pre-season home-opener game against the Philadelphia Eagles as well, before a packed crowd of 64,809 screaming Chiefs fans. The Chiefs’ team live mascot, Warpaint the horse, raced across the field as the cadet guard carried the colors toward the sideline. The Chiefs lost a valiant battle against the Eagles, 20-17. Cadets participating in the Honor Guard were: C/A1C Carlos Miller, C/SrA Drew Honigman, C/TSgt Daniel Peters, C/SSgt Ryland Miller, and C/2Lt Karra Miller. Seniors attending the event were: Major Tony Belto, Major Tammi Miller, and Capt Mark Miller.
