The April 2009 Safety Briefing was discussing

Fire & Severe Weather external and internal evacuations for Cass County Composite Squadron MO-149.

In case of Fire - Evacuate

In case of fire at MO-149 Headquarters,

a verbal command of "fire" would be repeated through out the facility. All members would evacuate the building and rendezvous in the far South side of the MO-149  parking lot. A Senior Member would retrieve the sign-in roster for that days activities and a roll call would be given at the rendezvous point. It is extremely important that every member and visitor sign-in on the roster sheet to assure that in case of an emergency everyone is accounted for.

In case of Severe Weather - Seek Shelter

For a severe weather emergency at MO-149 Headquarters, a verbal warning will be announced when received from local weather reports or audible warning sirens. Cadets and Senior Members should calmly move and enter squadron kitchen area for protection. If necessary, Alpha pod can be used as a secondary severe weather shelter if the attendance is over 25 for the activity. Again the sign-in roster would be used for roll call in the shelter to ensure the safety of those attendance.

Please make sure read the April 2009 copy of The Sentinel.

Thank you for being safe.

Remember: Safety starts with "S" but begins with "YOU".
